At Motor Inn of Spirit Lake, we've been busy listening to lots of rumors about the new "baby Jeep" model that is expected to replace the Compass and Patriot line of compact vehicles. While the details are still scarce, we've seen some pictures of the latest Jeep Crossover that is currently being tested on the demanding roads of the Swiss Alps. Additionally, images have been captured of the vehicle driving along roads in the United States.

The snapshots show a modern crossover that is similar to the Fiat 500L Mule, and the model is supposed to share the same platform as the current Fiat 500X. Both models are expected to be crafted in the same manufacturing facility in Turin, Italy.

Since the images aren't totally clear, and we don't have any accurate measurements, it seems likely that speculations about the new Jeep model being the same size as the Ford Fiesta aren't very accurate. Most industry insiders expect that the crossover will mirror other vehicles that are collaborative efforts between Chrysler and Fiat, like the new Dodge Dart.

We can't wait to see the new Jeep model, and we think that the compact SUV will be offered with all-wheel drive, so drivers can enjoy the off-road features that Jeep owners have come to expect in their vehicle. The new Jeep Crossover is expected to hit showrooms in 2015. Drivers in Spirit Lake, Iowa can rest assured that the new Jeep inventory at Motor Inn of Spirit Lake will include a wide selection when they're first available.
